A: At this time we do not offer any referral fees.
- Do you offer any discounts?
A: We offer several discount programs. Among those are our 10%
discount for early filers (filing before January 31), 5% discount for
online payment of your tax fee upon invoice, and our 20% group
discount. We will have other special offers throughout the year and our

- Do you Guarantee your work? A:
Exodus Triple Guarantee:
Assistance - We are available year-round to answer any tax questions you may
have. Your return may be selected for audit by a taxing authority.
Any proposed adjustments are subject to appeal. In the event of a tax
examination, we will help you prepare, as well as go with you to the IRS as your
advisor (not as your legal representative); we will be available to assist you
in defending and explaining the return. Upfront travel expenses will apply to
any examination conducted outside of the metro Atlanta area. Accuracy
- Our policy is to double-check every tax return. However, if we make a
calculation error that is not corrected, we will reimburse you for any penalties
or actual interest damages you incur. You will still be responsible for
any additional taxes that would have been due had the error not been made.
Satisfaction - If you are not completely satisfied with the tax returns we
prepare and you choose neither to file them nor allow us to redo them you are
not obligated to pay us. You may request that your file be cancelled and no
fees will be assessed to you.
- Is my personal information safe?
A: All of our document collection procedures are protected by the
latest internet and information security protocols. To date we have
received information from thousands of clients and have never had any
issues with client information. All files are backed up daily and archived in our secure data-center.
- What are your fees?
A: Our fee
for preparation of your tax returns will be based on our per form prices, which are available online by registering for an account on our website.. There may also be third party fees such as software, bank
fees, and electronic filing fees that are outside of the control of our
company. All of these fees will be fully disclosed prior to completion and/or filing any tax work. All invoices are due and payable at the time services are
rendered. To the extent permitted by state law, an interest charge may be added
to all accounts not paid within thirty (30) days and your account may be sent to
collections.
- Do I have to pay upfront for my taxes?
A: During the official tax filing season (typically January 15 – April
15), we will prepare your taxes for no upfront fee, and advise you of the
total preparation fee once the preparation is complete. You may also
have the option of having your tax preparation fees taken out of your
tax refund (eligibility rules and additional fees apply). At that time
you have the option of accepting our services and our fees, or you can
cancel your tax preparation. You still have all of your original
documents so you can attempt to find better services or a lower price.
(No one has found them yet, but feel free to try). After April 15th,
a $150 non-refundable retainer (per tax year) is required to begin any
tax preparation work. The same per form fees will apply and the
retainer fee will be applied to the final preparation fee.
- How do your fees compare to other companies?
A: Our average fees are typically $200-$400 less than a comparable tax
professional (i.e. C.P.A. or tax lawyer). Our average fee is typically
about $100-$120 higher than the corner tax shop (i.e. H&R Block,
Jackson Hewitt, et al). However we usually get our clients significantly higher tax savings than those lower priced places. Lower
prices often mean less quality, and that is even more true in the case of
tax preparers.
- How do I get started with my tax preparation? A: Filing your taxes is as simple as 1-2-3! First, register or login to complete the Online Tax Organizer (Don't Forget to Press Submit) on our ExodusTax.com website. Second, upload tax documents into our secure Online Document Management System or
fax (678)401-0230) them! Clients have 24/7 access to tax returns,
W-2's, 1099's, and other tax information that was sent to us by you.
All files are backed up daily and archived in our secure data-center. Third,
an Exodus Tax Professional will contact you via email and/or phone to
arrange a convenient time to complete your tax consultation and
preparation. It’s that simple! Your refund can be direct
deposited, and you will receive a copy of the completed return in your
personal client folder on our secure document server.
- Do I have to come to your office?
A: 99% of our clients do not come into our offices. Rather they use
our secure online document manager or our secure fax system to send us
their tax information. We have clients nationwide, so our systems are
designed to make the filing process simple and hassle-free.
- How can I get copies of my current or prior year returns? A:
We will retain copies of
W-2's, 1099's, and any other relevant tax information you supplied to us along
with all completed tax returns for a period of seven (3) years from the date of
IRS acceptance of the file. Client documents will be available 24/7
in their personal client folder on our secure
Online Document Management System.
All files are backed up
daily and archived in our secure data-center. Client can request one original
print of their full completed tax return to be mailed at no cost. An upfront
charge will be incurred for all other original prints mailed to client after the
first one. After seven years, our work papers and engagement files will be
destroyed. Make sure that you keep the original records in secure storage.
- Do you represent clients in tax court?
A: Your return
may be selected for audit by a taxing authority. Any proposed adjustments
are subject to appeal. In the event of a tax examination, we will help you
prepare, as well as go with you to the IRS as your advisor (not as your legal
representative); we will be available to assist you in defending and explaining
the return. Upfront travel expenses will apply to any examination conducted
outside of the metro Atlanta area.
